When you send Update Requests to update your address book, your contacts can optionally include their birthdays. Plaxo updates your address book with this information and Outlook automatically sets the birthday reminders in your calendar. For each contact with birthday information, Plaxo will send you a birthday reminder prior to the contact’s birthday. Plaxo members control birthday reminders for each individual contact and can enable/disable the reminder for all contacts. To turn birthday reminders off, click on the link at the bottom of any birthday reminder e-mail.
