Are biometrics good for society or just another step towards an Orwellian future?
Concern exists by some religions regarding biometrics, however we should examine the fact that we gradually have been creating ourselves as cyborgs (part machine) for quite sometime. Even metal teeth fillings are not natural along with artificial hips, bones, hearts, etc. Technology is inevitable as the adage of climbing Mt. Everest “because it exists.” Still preservation of life should be the priority. If that is the motive and not profit, we might be headed in the right direction. I suppose Soul could live in a machine as well as a physical body (See Star Trek). The problem remains that biology is the natural state of man’s evolution (albeit the subject is being attacked again by foolish naive creationists mainly because science is complex and scripture is poetry and not science.
