Are bikes allowed in parks?
Because of the sensitive ecosystems, bicycles and mountain bikes are restricted to designated paths, roadways, and bike trails in parks and greenways managed by the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department. With regard to trails managed by Hillsborough County or privately owned properties, you should seek permission from the property owner or manager. Gas powered bikes, pocket-bikes, mini-bikes, go-karts and motorcycles are not allowed on park trails or paths. Electric wheelchairs, electric bicycles and Segways are allowed on City trails. Speed limits on trails is 15 miles per hour.
