Are Best Man and Best Boy used institutionally as well?
This is the 25th anniversary of Best Boy, and it’s as busy now as it was 25 years ago. Not just this home video release, but I also have something going on in Japan, and a new video and TV deal in Spain, plus it’s been optioned to be done as a feature – and then, yeah, I still sell institutional cassettes of it to people who will be showing it to groups, libraries, places like that. New Video came to me at just the right time and have done a terrific job. But there are people out there who don’t have DVD and would like watch this at home. So I am now selling it on VHS.* I’ll just add what I heard Henny Youngman say on [NPR’s] Fresh Air before he passed away. He was asked if he ever used any of his old jokes in his act, and he said, “I use only my old jokes – all I need is a new audience.” And I think it’s the same for these films – they’re timeless in a way.
