Are Ben Graham and Saverio Rocca actually good?
They both play the same position, Punter, which is responsible for kicking the ball away to the opposite team after their team’s offense has failed to advance the ball. It’s probably the least glamorous position on the team (in fact, the better the team is doing, the less work the punter winds up doing. So punters for teams going to the Super Bowl have probably not had much to do all year long; their teams’ offense hasn’t needed them). But they’re important for strategy purposes. Generally only two or maybe three punters in the entire league are considered really noteworthy. Of your two, Rocca is probably a little better. He’s averaged over 40 yards per kick (43.3) which is impressive. His kicks are returned for less than ten yards on average and lands about 1/3 of his kicks inside the opponents’ 20-yard line. Though, the last two statistics speak more to his teammates’ ability and the circumstances upon which he’s called in to kick. With Graham, it’s a little tougher to tell. His stat
