Are Bald Eagles still protected?

0

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service removed the bald eagle from the federal list of threatened and endangered species in 2007. However, bald eagles and their nests are still protected by the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and under Pierce County Title 18E, Development Regulations-Critical Areas. The Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act also prohibits disturbance or molesting of eagles.
