Hi Debra, Aptly put!! Recruitment/hiring managers are truly not in touch with the employee engagement perspective which their Business HR or Generalist HR colleagues try very hard to implement. As hiring executives, they are the first point of contact for a potential employee or for that matter the candidate pool in the job market. Several times I have seen candidates a bit unhappy with the attitude or treatment meted out to them by hiring managers. Actually its high time hiring managers get sensitised to crucial issue of giving feedback whenever possible to candidates even if they are not shortlisted. This helps the consultants also to maintain a good rapport in the market & makes it an effective process end to end.
