Are Baby Shower Games Overrated?
A lot of people ask if it is necessary to include games if you are hosting a baby shower. Is is necessary? Well no, but it certainly does spruce up your party. Imagine going to a baby shower and purchasing a gift for the mother-to-be (the average gift is around $20). Keep in mind you now must wrap this present, include a card, and give up a few hours of your precious time to drive, give your gift up, and drive home for this special mother-to-be. When you get home, you have spent $20 on a gift, $3 on a card, $5 in gas (of course this is debatable-with gas prices, it could actually be $10!) and 5 hours of your time off. All for what? Oh yes, so an expecting mother can stock up her nursery before the bundle of joy arrives. Now imagine this. Same scenario, only this time, there are games involved. You purchase, wrap and bring the $20 present to a baby shower, you drive and are away from your home for at least 5 hours, but while you were there, you actually ENJOYED yourself. Hmm. I think I
