I don’t know about the reference you use, but I did read the Ayatollah’s Green Book. I remember him stating the terms required for a man to buy a man’s daughter for marriage. I seem to remember the minimum age was 10. As absolutely unbelievable as that man’s standards were, I do not think he approved of sexual pleasure with a baby. But apparently Muhammad had sex with a six year old, so maybe he’s using this as a guide. He probably considered himself enlightened by upping the acceptable age to ten. Most Muslims will deny that this is accepted. But then, most Muslims are not adhering to the strict fundamentalist interpretation of ancient texts and the Quran. Unfortunately most “westernized” Muslims do not represent the leadership views and they are usually the ones speaking for Islam in these forums. Lkj, I didn’t know that cows worshipped Hindu. Ya learn something every day.
