No. The awards given out in the Open Show Program and Regional Show program are on a 6-5-4-3-2-1 point scale, with the number of points you receive depending on the number of entries in the class. KApOA was formed through the cooperation of all 3 regional KY Appaloosa Horse clubs. The Saddle Log program was created in the interest of the West KY ApHC, which consists mainly of trail riders. What is the total award payout? In 2006, KApOA was able to distribute a total of $50,645 between the four programs. The expected funds for 2007 are slightly over $61,000. Why does the Quarter Horse Incentive Fund have larger payouts than the Appaloosas? The funds given to each breed are based on the number of registered horses of that breed in the state.
