Are AU singers trained?
AU strives to be an inclusive forum. Prior vocal training is thus, not a prerequisite. We have an extremely rigorous auditioning process. Members are recruited based on their talent, team spirit / willingness to work with others, and commitment levels. Although AU has developed its own methodology of vocal training, we also draw from the experience of our members who are associated with institutions such as Berklee College of Music, Royal School of Music-London, Trinity College of Music, Akhil Bharatiya Gandharv Mahavidyalaya, Delhi School of Music, Parikrama School of Music, Danceworx Academy, Shiamak Davar’s Institute of Performing Arts, Delhi Music Theatre, Capital City Minstrels, Delhi Christian Choir, YMCA, Teamwork, Encompass, Kidsworld, TAG (Theatre Action Group), and the National School of Drama.
