Are anyone in Gifted and Talented classes?
I’ve been in G&T classes since 2nd grade when they were first offered at our school. I’m now in 9th grade and I’m taking all honors classes. Being in G&T classes, it was the same people in your class every single year, so you’d get to know those people really well, but you didn’t really get to know many of the other kids. At my school, it was 2-5 entirely G&T, then in 6-8 grade it went to just G&T Reading and Math. Overall I’ve liked the G&T classes because they definitely are more challenging, and move at a quicker pace, and they definitely help to prepare you for high school. Also, all of my G&T teachers have been really good, because they really have to. They are teaching the top students in each grade, and they really have to be top notch. Now this year I’m taking Honors English, Biology, World History, and Geometry. Taking G&T really helps to prepare for all of those Honors classes. While I do enjoy being in non G&T classes so I can spend time with other kids, I wouldn’t change an
