Dr. Wakefield’s research and publications have focused on the incidence of gastrointestinal disorders in children with autism. When treatments address gastrointestinal illness coincident with autism, and when appropriate, they do refer to his research. How active is Dr. Wakefield in the Thoughtful House organization? Dr. Wakefield oversees the research program, working in conjunction with the Thoughtful House research team and its many collaborators from universities and private institutions all over the world. Has Dr. Wakefield been accused of any breach of medical ethics while serving as the Executive Director of Thoughtful House? Absolutely not.
