Are any names automatically excluded from the data file and why?
Yes. As part of Experian’s maintenance processing, the file is matched against an “invalid names” table. This process eliminates vulgar words, etc. There is also a business rule that states a Last Name needs to contain 2 or more letters to be considered valid. Experian also maintains an in-house pander file consisting of consumer requests made directly to Experian to remove their name. These names are excluded from the data file supplied.
