Are any Arnotts products genetically modified?
At Arnott’s Australia/New Zealand, we’re doing as much as is technically possible to ensure our products do not contain genetically modified organisms: GE ingredients Our policy is to use non-GE ingredients. We audit existing and new ingredient suppliers on an ongoing basis and we’ve also added a provision in their contracts stipulating our requirement for non-GE ingredients. GE-derived ingredients While we and other food manufacturers cannot be completely confident that GE enzymes and processing aids are not used elsewhere in the supply chain, our policy is to use non-GE-derived ingredients, wherever possible. Again, we audit existing and new ingredient suppliers on an ongoing basis and we’ve also added a provision in their contracts stipulating our requirement for non-GE-derived ingredients.
