Are AMR data “real time” data?
Meter data recorded by the AMR field unit are “real time” in the sense that the signals represent actual usage at precise times or during given time intervals. What the Energy Manager views on the company’s account home page are “near real time” data in the sense that the real-time readings have been stored in the AMR’s memory for a brief, predetermined period of time before being transmitted to the data facility and made available to the account.
