Are Alpine Furniture, Inc. products made of solid wood?
We attempt to provide solid wood for all our furniture, however there are exceptions. For example, since wood has the tendency to contract in dry climates and expand in humid ones, most of our dining table tops are made of wood veneer (with MDF), while the legs are made of solid wood. This is to prevent the tabletop from cracking, which may occur with solid wood under extreme conditions. Basically, we attempt to use solid wood in as much of the furniture as possible, and use wood veneer and MDF only when necessary.
