Are alpha particles related to alpha waves?
Alpha waves are a particular type of brain wave. An Alpha particle is a fast moving helium nucleus that has left its electrons behind. Alpha particles are usually ejected particles through radioactive decay of a very heavy isotope. Alpha particles will not pass through a sheet of paper.or travel more than a few inches in air. Alpha particles present danger when internal to the body as they do great damage because of the positive charge ionizing live cells. There is no way to shield from an internal exposure.
