No. A growing number of retailers in Europe have expressed increasing concern about the sources of textile commodities sold to consumers. Companies such as Tesco, Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, Sainsbury’s (UK), Marimekko Corporation (Finland), Hennes and Mauritz (Sweden), Wal-Mart (USA) have announced intentions to exclude Uzbek cotton from their procurement chains.
