Yes. Every undergraduate student enrolling in classes for the first time at UNLV is required to attend Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR). Attending SOAR fulfills UNLV’s requirement for mandatory academic advising for all new undergraduate students. There are SOAR programs designed for freshman and transfer students.
