Yes. All meals containing real meat are freeze-dried. In the Essentials and Emergency Plus kits, the lasagna, beef stroganoff and rice and chicken contain freeze-dried, real meats. At the request of our customers and for the purpose of adding variety, the creamy chicken rotini contains a soy based (vegetarian) chicken. In the larger family packages which contain food in #10 cans (i.e., 632, 948, 1264, 1896, 2528, 3792), all meals containing real meat are freeze-dried. All freeze-dried items in our packages have either been nitrogen flushed or contain an oxygen absorbing packet to eliminate oxygen. Some of the meals in our packages do not require freeze-drying and are therefore, not freeze-dried. For example, granola, oatmeal and rice are not freeze-dried.
