Are all students with IEPs eligible for IVRS services?
A. No. To have an IEP, the student must meet the eligibility criteria for IDEA. To be eligible for IVRS, the student must meet the eligibility criteria for the Rehabilitation Act. The criteria of these two laws are not identical. However, IVRS will use information contained on the IEP, statements made by the student, parents and teachers and related information, such as medical information to determine a student’s eligibility for IVRS services.
