Are all Royal Marines trained as commandos?

0

The royal marines are taught much more thoroughly than regular army infantry. They are taught how to survive and fight in antarctic and tropical climates. The RM’s are taught hand to hand combat and their endurance is greater than reg infantry. The training course is much longer and harder to pass than the normal course for the army, you have to do a 9 mile speed march with full equipment, and a 30 miler walking pace with equipment. The royal marines are basically naval infantry but are trained to protect ships, take ships, and assault land in any climate, only the parachute regiments army fitness course really compares to the stamina and endurance needed to pass training, apart from special forces regiments etc.
