Are all “Pleasure Craft Operator Card” providers recognized in the United States?
No, only one provider of the approximately 152 “Pleasure Craft Operator Card” providers is recognized by the one Association that represents the boating authorities of all 50 states and the U.S. territories and that provider is The Canadian Power and Sale Squadrons. CPS, along with the United States Power Squadrons are Associate Members of NASBLA, the acronym for the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators. If your CPS “CARD” is lost or stolen, a small fee will be charged and a new CARD will be issued from the information that is maintained on our data base. By the way we were teaching boating safety and education 60 years before the “CARD” came into existence.
