Are all of the scholarships available listed on Tucks application?
Yes, they are all listed in the bulletin, but the student does not apply for a specific award. Once we know how the class is made up, we assign specific scholarships to specific students. That way the students satisfy the donors’ wishes. But most of our scholarships are pretty well unrestricted. Many of our scholarships are [reserved] for deserving students, but the definition of “deserving” is unclear. That gives the financial-aid committee sufficient latitude. There are a few scholarships, however, that are very specific.
