Are all Mitsubishi DTVs HDTVs?

Mitsubishi firmly believes that today’s viewers will settle for nothing less than the best possible image quality. That is why all Mitsubishi DTVs are HDTVs. We currently do not manufacture SDTVs, because they are unable to deliver the true big screen experience without compromise. SDTV pictures can be wider than standard NTSC images and may have picture resolution from 1 to 3 times that of NTSC TVs. In addition, SDTVs have digital audio sound. SDTV is better suited to small screens (less than 38 inches) because the added resolution of HDTV is not visible at a normal viewing distance. SDTV’s generally will receive HDTV broadcasts and convert them down to an SDTV resolution level by discarding some of the picture information.
