Are all London black cab drivers white native Londoners, or are some from ethnic minorities?
Black Cab drivers (black refers to the colour of the actual cab, not the driver) come from all sorts of different racial backrounds. One thing 90% of them have in common, regardless of their ethnic backround is that they’re rude and aggressive, refuse fares for all sorts of ridiculous reasons, such as they don’t go to south London. Althouigh they spend years doing the ‘knowledge’ to supposedly learn the geography of London, they usually take the longest most congested route in order to increase the fare. Just in case you think I’m doing P.R. for the mini cab industry, the only positive thing I can think of to say about mini cabs is that they are usually a little cheaper than black cabs. However, most mini cab firms employ drivers who don’t know their way around London and frequently get lost, and because you have to book them in advance, they are frequently late for the pick up.
