Are all criminal cases assigned to a Detective?
Not all criminal cases are assigned to a Detective. A case will be assigned to a detective for follow-up investigation based on specific factors and evidence obtained during the initial investigation. Studies indicate that the presence of these factors can predict whether a detailed follow-up investigation would likely result in the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) or the recovery of property.
