Are all anti- universal healthcare ppl greedy and heartless?
I think that’s too strong a characterization. On the political front, it is very easy to get people to believe that universal health care is the greatest threat to Mom, Apple Pie, and Democracy since fluoridated water…when their paycheck depends upon them believing it. On the general population front, people have become so accustomed to the social/government/technology network that makes their lives both possible and relatively convenient that said network has become invisible to them. Hence, they will heartily tub-thump and declare “Government can’t do anything right” and “Socialism is a failure” while sitting in their homes protected from crime by ‘socialized’ policemen, protected from fire by a socialized fire department, accessed by ‘socialized’ roads, provided with water and sanitation by a ‘socialized’ DWP, lit and heated by ‘socialized’ electrical/gas utilities, and filled with products whose safety and function is largely guaranteed by government regulation.
