Are all alerts automatically forwarded to local authorities?
By simply entering an email address, you can share your camera and alerts with anyone you choose. This feature is not recommended to be used as a way to notify local authorities because you might be held responsible for a false alert. For example, your son arrives home early as he was feeling. You will get an alert as will anyone else with whom you share the camera such as the police department. Evidently, this is a false alert and your son is not an intruder. The police however, do not know this and might perceive him to be an intruder. We recommend that you keep the email of the alert, as it contains a snapshot of the unusual event. If you are alerted that an intruder entered your home, you should call the police and show them the email snapshot as proof.
