Are all ADB-assisted projects evaluated?
There are two types of evaluation in ADB-self evaluation by operational departments and independent evaluation by OED. Self evaluation is carried out via the completion reports prepared by operational departments for all completed projects. From 2007, OED will validate 100% of project completion reports. About 40% of completed projects have been independently evaluated by OED, but the proportion of individual project evaluations is declining as OED puts increasing focus on evaluating sector and country programs and important thematic areas.
