Are aftermarket mufflers good or bad?
Ive had my exhaust upgraded to a flowmaster on almost all of my cars/trucks but I was looking for sound, looks and HP. I payed $150-200 each vehicle, Go to a local muffler shop and ask the manager what would best suit you for wanting better gas mileage/looks. I would assume that most aftermarket mufflers do add some sound and HP but I know there are different stages or levels. Also, a little HP isnt bad for a civic for when you need to pick up to avoid a collisin or ticking someone off!
