Are advisors always available to escort and supervise?
Yes, staff will be available at all times (24/7) to escort and supervise scholars. Scholars are divided into teams of 4, with one advisor responsible for every team (in addition to support from in-country staff). All homestays are within close proximity of each other, allowing for quick visits or meetings should a participant have any issues or concerns.
Yes, advisors are available to scholars at all times. There is 1 advisor for every 6 scholars, and trips are organized in groups of 14 (two advisors and two teams of six scholars). Advisors live in homestays, just as scholars do. All homestays are within a close proximity of each other, allowing for quick visits or meetings should a scholar have any issues or concerns. Moreover, three ThinkImpact staff members – the Director of Institute Advisors, Director of Institute Logistics and Director of Community Relations – manage the Institute on the ground and are always available to scholars.
