Are Administrative Professional employees who are not WSURP participants but are participants of a Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) Plan eligible?
Currently, VERI is only available to employees who have participated in the WSURP for at least ten years and age 55 or older. WSU is currently pursuing options/approval from Olympia to include DRS participants (AP and Classified Staff) in the VERI program. DRS plans include the PERS plans, as well as LEOFF, and TRS.
