Are ADHD Children More Prone To Temper Tantrums?
It has been estimated that approximately 35% of children with ADHD or ADD also have Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). ODD is said to be characterized by frequent temper tantrums, stubbornness, deceitfulness, lying, aggression, and stealing. Many parents of these children give up on them, in that they stop trying to be in charge of the child in the face of the constant defiance. It is believed that about 50% of children who have both of these disorders mature into adults who have antisocial personality disorder.
