Are ActionEmco costs of $9999.99 a little unusual?
Although a cost of $9999.99 for certain ActionEmco items seems exorbitant, rest assured that those costs are not true dealer costs. Below, Ed Ritsema of ActionEmco explains why: “The Catalog files (R7, M7, and C7) as well as all our Matrix files (1KA, 1KB . . . . 1ZA, 1ZB, 1ZC) all have the costs set to a high amount (9999). This is because these files are provided only to supply Consumer Pricing. They are not used to set dealer costs. So by setting the cost in them high, the prices in the file should not interfere with their system finding their true best cost on any given item.
