Are Acer Notebooks any good?
It depends, i have generally found acers to be a bit “plasticy” and fragile! Quite a few netbooks are slow but a lot are as fast as a cheap notebook. If you want something portable, light, cheap and fastish, a mid-range netbook is a good idea. I, myself as a programmer and network engineer would personally find a netbook too slow to do all of my compex stuff but based on what you have told me it should be a good choice.
