NO! The Kodak Z1012 IS can ONLY use three different types of battery. 1. Li-ion rechargeable Lithium KLIC-8000 2. Kodak Lithium CRV 3 (non-rechargeable) 3. AA Lithium batteries (non-rechargeable) Sorry, but you CANNOT use your AA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries in the Z1012 IS and you also cannot use ordinary alkaline batteries either. The camera only comes supplied with the non rechargeable CRV3 Lithium battery (which is quite good and will allow 350-450 shots) but when it runs out, it’s permanently dead and useless to you…so, for cost effectiveness you will need to buy the rechargeable Lithium KLIC-8000 and K7600-C charger, which are available as a kit (see links below).
