Are a labret piering and a lip piercing are the same thing w/ different jewerly?
They are different things but often use the same jewlery. A labret is pierced below the lip, closer to the chin, and usually in the center. Very low off-center labrets are often called Lowbret these are done farther off to one side of the mouth. A lip piercing is anything along the lower lip line or slightly below. These can be fitted with flat back studs like those used for labrets or hoops. There are plenty of lip piercings that have specific names when they are arranged in certain ways. A lip piercing on both sides of the lip is often called a set of Snakebites. The names and positions become more disputable and varied from there on. All of these different things like snakebites are lip piercings, but not every lip piercing is a snakebite. A vertical labret is neither a labret nor a lip piercing. It is a combination of both. This piercing enters through the top of the lip and exits below the lip line where a labret would be placed. It can be done off center. It can also be performed
