I’ve owned a 2WD pickup truck for 10 years and I live in Chicago where there is plenty of snow. I have used bags of gravel or sand and put them by the tailgate to add weight on the rear tires which tend to slip when the streets arent plowed too well. I think I put around 200 lbs. and had only slight slipping when starting from a stop. If you are going off road, you may have problems, but if you stay on pavement, you shouldn’t have a problem. Get AAA coverage just in case you do get stuck. Hope this helped.
