Are 2002 Toyota Celica keys chipped?
As far as I’m aware all Toyota keys 97on are chipped, I have a 97 corolla and that has coded keys. When you but them new you get 1 black key and 1 grey key, and you also get a little metal dog-tag with the key number on that the dealer can instantly match up. I priced a spare key for my car and it was a lot cheaper than i thought it would be. The other thing you have to look at is that your Toyota will be so reliable that the cost of the key is nothing compared to the cost of repairing most other cars. I’d get the Celica if I was you.
