April Fools Day, is it for amateur humorists?
I have not actually Laughed at an April Fools joke yet. But then the question is really, is April Fools about ‘fooling’ you or about making you laugh? (See I turned an answer into a question …..) Most ‘jokes’ can actually be broken down into tried and tested formulas. Sitcoms are a classic example. They often use the same formula, just different words. I could do a whole thesis on the formula for a joke or something that makes a person laugh.
