Currently, the Philadelphia International Airport is participating in a voluntary Part 150 Noise Study to identify those areas that are within the 65 decibel Day-Night Sound Level (DNL) and would require sound insulation. If this Project causes more homes to fall within the 65 decibel DNL and the change in noise is greater than a 1.5 decibel increase, then mitigation will be required for those homes as well.
