Apple System Profiler shows my RAM as 3-3-3 and that it is slower than the RAM I have installed, what is the problem?
There is a bug in the Apple System Profiler since 3-3-3 does not exist. We have verified this with Apple and a customer brought this to our attention. All PC133 SDRAM DIMMs are 3-2-2 and we shipped many PC133 SDRAM DIMMs to customers recently as a free upgrade to the PC100 they ordered but since it registered as 3-3-3 there were complaints that the memory was slow (when in fact it was much faster and could be used in the new G4’s) We are offering all Mac customers with G4 the option to upgrade to CL2 2-2-2 RAM free of charge using the RMA process.
