Apart from feeling at home, what were the other positives about working in the Australian film industry?
Obviously, there are negatives, but let’s stay on the positives… SB: Yeah, I think there are a lot of positives. I was so impressed with our crews. They’ve got so much great experience and such a great attitude. So the crews firstly. I think the talent is amazing, I mean, you look at the actors in this film, they’re all young and-up-and coming, I think they should all be big movie stars. So we’ve got amazing talent. And the locations, I mean, we’ve got incredible locations! Look at the Blue Mountains out there! That’s stuff that’s dying to be put out there on screen. I can’t believe we haven’t seen more of that. It’s been sitting there for 10,000 years and no one’s shot it! It’s the kind of thing you’d spend millions on in CGI effects to create, but it’s sitting there. You know, I think we’ve got everything that you need to make great movies in Australia. We just need to find the stories. AFI: More titles!
