ApAdmin diagnostics message: Launching proxy on xxx (localhost)?
where xxx is the name of this machine. The first thing to check is that you are signed onto the Authentication Proxy server using a domain (and not a local) account with administrator privileges on this system. There are several problems that can occur that are correctable using the Microsoft utility dcomcnfg. Launch dcomcnfg. Select xuesap1 Object and push Properties button. • On the General tab, verify that Local Path points to your installation of xuesap.exe. It is installed at c:\Program Files\VistA\AP\Server\xuesap.exe. • On the Security tab, verify that each of the three areas are selected for ‘Use custom…’. Custom Access permissions must include Everyone -> Allow Access. Custom Launch permissions must include Everyone -> Allow Launch. Custom Configuration permissions must include Everyone -> Full Control. • On the Identity tab, ‘This user’ must be selected. Verify that the username and password are correct.
