Anyone know how to keep bees away from hummingbird feeders?

I have two solutions. 1. I place Vaseline in the hole of the feeder. This allows the bird to get the water but keeps the bee out. This can be a pain if it rains alot or if you don’t clean the feeder regularly. 2. This year I placed an alternate feeder with limited water in it for the bees. It was a junk feeder without the perches and it seems to have attracted the bees. I feed them just enough to keep them interested in this feeder and it seems to kee them away form my prime feeders.
