Dave Frary– Smoked Salmon Marinade from Backwoods Frank Salmon Marinade No. 1 – (Enough brine for two large Salmon fillets) Amount Measure Ingredient — Preparation Method ——– ———— ——————————– 1/2 gallon HOT water 1/2 cup Kosher salt 1-1/2 cup brown sugar 3 tablespoons garlic powder 3 tablespoons coarse ground black pepper 1/2 cup soy sauce 1 tablespoon bay leaves, crushed Add ingredients to hot water and stir until dissolved.
