Double clutching might help in this case. Blipping the gas will do nothign if the clutch is disengaged b/c you’re speeding up the fly wheel, not the gears. In my accord, even whan warm, downshifting from 2 to 1 was always tough b/c by the time synchros did their job, the car was going much slower. Double clutching fixed that in a jiffy. In normal driving, there isn’t much need for it, but at lower gears where rpm differences are higher, double clutching can be helpful.
