Any suggestions how we could survive our first trans-atlantic flight together?
Answer Dear Lee – Traveling so far with 3 young children sounds a bit frightening, but it can be done! Although we haven’t traveled overseas with our own children yet, we have several friends who’ve moved to Singapore with young children and made many long flights back and forth. One close friend has a VERY active 5-year old boy. if she could do it, then so can you! When booking your flights, you might want to purposely include some connections. Though you’d normally try to minimize connections with small children, in the case of such a long trip, the connections would give the kids (and you) a chance to move around and would break the trip up into more manageable segments. You say you’d rather not travel with strollers, but you might want to reconsider this. When our boys were younger, we always brought a lightweight umbrella-type folding stroller for air travel. They only cost $15-$20 and are a huge help in getting around airports with young kids. Depending on the number and timing o
